Development of an innovative, disruptive water treatment technology for the global aquaculture industry
Aquaturu water treatment technology helps eliminate the current problems of the land-based aquaculture industry by taking and the various steps towards by lowering bacteria, parasites and algae in plants, leading to lower costs and thus higher returns. The result is efficient sustainable and responsible aquaculture production. The solutions are offered for land-based facilities and with the option of financing or renting entire systems, which can pay for themselves at lower costs and better profits. Current technologies are either inefficient or applicable to employees. Current solutions, UV, ozone and chemicals, are expensive and require constant manual interaction.
Innovative technology
The effectiveness is achieved by creating a controlled electrical field in the waterflow, where power is used to treat the water directly. A market-disrupting, cost-effective and innovative way of disinfecting water compared to traditional technologies such as UV or ozone.
Efficiency
The treatment kills and prevents the proliferation of a wide range of microscopic organisms including bacteria, virus parasites and algae, leading to substantially reduced bacteria and algae level and thereby minimizing biofilm build-up on bottom and sides in aquaculture units.

Works in brown water
Aquaturu’s equipment works in even very dirty water. Discolored tannin-stained drain- or bore water is treatable, and even brown water filled with suspended particles can be treated - no costly pre-filtration is needed. Recirculated water in RAS-systems or in traditional fish farms, will often show some level of discoloration rendering UV treatment ineffective.
